Membership application in the United States may only be made in person at the Rensselaerville Headquarters office above the library on Main Street. 

Official merchandise such as ID cards, pads, bookmarks, and annual limited edition handkerchiefs is distributed on site only. We do not mail or sell merchandise online, though periodically haiku books from our imprint are available via unaffiliated online distributors. We are not responsible for prices on secondary market collector websites.

In extremely rare circumstances, and with prior consent at the discretion of the local chapter, membership applications can be made in person at our following field offices:

We remind you that though we boast over (as of 2023) five thousand members, our member list is absolutely confidential, and honoring the anonymity of fellow members is required and enforced. Though you are free of course to reveal your own membership if you so desire, any haiku, ephemera, or non-selfie photo may be submitted to our website currently under construction by our archivist and team of researchers. Posting submissions is done at our sole discretion.

We encourage you to include your membership on your resumés and in all pertinent bios, including arrest records and dating apps.
